WWE Is Asking Fans Some Interesting Questions About Payback

WWE Payback is in the books and there are a lot of opinions about the show. Some people were happy with the results. Others thought it was a terrible night of wrestling. Whatever the opinion might be, WWE wants to know what fans thought about it.

Members of the WWE Fan Council recently got a survey with a number of questions about WWE Payback. After they made sure people watched the PPV, WWE got right to the heart of the matter.

The survey asked fans to rate each match using a five-point scale from poor to excellent. Then it asked some very strange and specific questions about the House Of Horrors match.

The survey asked if we enjoyed JoJo laying out all stipulations and rules of the House Of Hardcore match before the match began. Sure we did. It didn’t make the crackhouse Bray and Randy fought in seem any less dirty.

The survey also asked participants to rate on a five-point scale from poor to “didn’t watch” what we thought about Randy’s limo arrival, the action in the house, Bray escaping and stealing Randy’s limo, the in-ring action, and Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers’ interference.

After asking whether or not we planned on watching Extreme Rules and Backlash, the survey got a little bit more inquisitive. WWE asked fans to choose what they thought the most surprising moment of Payback was.

The options were as follows:

  • Neville getting disqualified and retaining the Cruiserweight Championship.
  • Alexa Bliss making history by becoming the first Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion.
  • Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers’ interference at end of House Of Horrors Match.
  • Bray dropping a refrigerator on Randy Orton.
  • Roman Reigns’ Samoan Drop and Spear not being enough to defeat Strowman.
  • Sheamus and Cesaro attacking Hardy Boyz after their match.
  • Jeff tagging himself into the match and hitting Sheamus with a Swanton Bomb.
  • Chris Jericho defeating Kevin Owens for the US Championship.
  • Seth Rollins defeating Samoa Joe.
  • Braun Strowman attacking Roman Reigns with the steel steps after the match was over.

Chris Jericho defeating Kevin Owens for the US Title was leading with an astounding 44% of the vote. The second most surprising moment was Alexa Bliss beating Bayley for her title with 16% of the vote. Sheamus and Cesaro jumping The Hardys was at 13%. The rest of the options got a scattered amount from 1% to 3%.

It certainly didn’t look like many were surprised Bray dropped a fridge on Randy. Everyone knew he was capable of that.
