The Royal Rumble is without a doubt one of WWE’s most exciting premium live events as you never know who might return during the Royal Rumble matches.
Former WWE Women’s Champion Layla hasn’t wrestled a match since 2015, but she recently revealed that WWE previously asked her to return for a women’s Royal Rumble match during an appearance on They Made Their Way To The Ring.
“I was asked to one. I do remember it was a legends one. I was asked, but at that time I was completely shut off. I haven’t watched Evolution. I will look at it. I watched the Royal Rumble that I was asked to be part of when Kelly Kelly and Melina came back. I did watch that one.”
When asked if she was open to the idea of possibly returning to compete in a Royal Rumble match in the future Layla said, “Never say never.”
