WWE officials have been trying to expand the roster for a few years now, and they’ve been actively signing new talents. The company recently announced two new signings during the Mae Young Classic tournament, and it appears that Kacy Catanzaro and Shadia Bseiso have both signed deals with the company.
Kacy Catanzaro is best known to American Ninja Warrior fans as the first woman to complete the qualifying round of American Ninja Warrior. Catanzaro received a WWE tryout back in January.
Shadia Bseiso took part in the WWE tryouts in Dubai. She is a TV personality from the United Arab Emirates, and she has a background in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Speaking of the Mae Young Classic, Mia Yim recently spoke to The Huffington Post about her experience wrestling in the tournament, and she said it was a dream come true.
“It was a dream come true. I’m excited for everyone to see it. Women for so long have fought to be taken as serious athletes and not just “eye candy,” and so this validates us as equals to the men. I also made sure to incorporate the purple nail into my entrance, because my experience with domestic violence has been a big part of my journey. I want to show other survivors you can still achieve your dreams after an abusive relationship. Lita [WWE hall of famer and announcer for the tournament] was actually my childhood hero and inspiration for me to get into wrestling. After I told her my story, she said, ‘Hey, do you have purple nail polish?’ She didn’t have to do that. That blew me away. I look up to her even more now.”
