WWE has announced that the WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day will be inducting The Fabulous Freebirds into the Hall of Fame on April 2.

It was originally believed that Kevin Von Erich would be inducting The Freebirds. The Von Erichs and The Freebirds were longtime rivals so Kevin inducting them would have made sense.

But instead they’re being inducted by The New Day because The New Day utilizes “The Freebird Rule” with the tag belts.
“The Freebird Rule has helped The New Day in many ways. It allows us to create a different kind of strategy against our opponents that no other team has. You don’t know if you’re going up against Kofi and Big E, Kofi and myself, or Big E and myself. We have different strategies for different opponents. You never know what you’re going to get, like a box of Booty-Os.” Xavier Woods told WWE.com.
WWE announced yesterday that Vader will be making an appearance at this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony as he will be inducting Stan Hansen. Other inductors this year include Ric Flair who will be inducting Sting and JBL along with Ron Simmons who will be inducting The Godfather.
