WWE’s “Raw After WrestleMania” has become one of the most highly anticipated episodes of the year, and last night’s event only further proved why.
As part of the show, Vince McMahon arrived in the arena to not only unveil Kurt Angle as Raw’s new General Manager but to also make a shocking announcement, that Monday, April 10th’s episode of Raw will see a “Superstar Shake-up.”
WWE officials are purposely not referring to this as a draft because that would then mean that every superstar would be available to be moved to a separate roster. It seems that instead, WWE will allow both Raw and SmackDown to name a few “keepers” and then every other star on the brand will be deemed eligible to be switched.
This means that both brands can protect their champions and ensure that they still have championship gold. It also means that the likes of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, John Cena and The Miz could well be stuck on their current roster for a while longer.
The company has not yet revealed whether or not champions are off limits, and they haven’t decided whether or not SmackDown could draft Neville and then take the Cruiserweight Division as well.
“The WWE Chairman will be granting both sides an opportunity to make trades, deals and other moves that they feel fit,” according to WWE.com
Just a week after the fall-out that WrestleMania 33 caused, it will be interesting to see where some of WWE’s biggest names will be plying their trade in just seven days time.
