WWE Announces Details For The Next NXT Takeover Special, Triple H Comments

Survivor Series and NXT Takeover recently conquered Toronto, and both WWE and NXT will be taking over San Antonio, TX in January of 2017. WWE has announced that the next Takeover special will be titled NXT Takeover: San Antonio, and it’s set to take place from the Freeman Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Tickets for NXT Takeover: San Antonio are set to go on sale Friday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. CT.

Triple H also commented on the announcement by telling fans to get ready.

Pairing the NXT brand with WWE’s “big four” is a business model that seems to be working out well for WWE. Earlier this year WWE presented NXT Takeover: Dallas during WrestleMania weekend, and NXT Takeover returned to Brooklyn for SummerSlam weekend.

At NXT Takeover: Toronto, Samoa Joe challenged Shinsuke Nakamura for the NXT Championship, and he defeated him to become the first ever two time NXT Champion. DIY also faced off against The Revival in a two out of three falls match, and it was DIY who walked away with the NXT Tag Team Titles. The event also featured the return of Mickie James who challenged Asuka for the NXT Women’s Championship, but James was defeated when Asuka made her tap out to the Asuka Lock.

The Royal Rumble will take place from the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX on January 29, and you can get all the details on travel packages via the link below.
