WWE announced some major changes to the commentary teams earlier this week and it was also confirmed that Jimmy Smith is no longer with the company. Now it seems that another member of the broadcast team has finished up with WWE as PWInsider is reporting that Nigel McGuinness was released earlier this week.
Nigel McGuinness first signed on with WWE in 2016 and he started out working as an announcer for the NXT UK brand. McGuinness later moved over to NXT. He has also called the action on WWE Main Event and 205 Live.
As noted WWE recently confirmed that Michael Cole & Wade Barrett will be doing commentary for SmackDown with Kevin Patrick & Corey Graves set to do commentary for Raw. Vic Joseph and Booker T will serve as the commentators for NXT moving forward.
