It’s been a while since fans have seen Asuka inside the ring as she’s been sidelined due to injury, but the former champion has been quite active on social media as of late.
The Empress of Tomorrow got the wrestling world talking recently when she discouraged people from having romantic feelings for her with a tweet that said, “Please don’t have romantic feelings for me. It’s meaningless—100% pointless.”

Asuka later shared a concerning update claiming that she has been in danger when she added, “I’ve been feeling in danger recently. I’ve already consulted the police. At this rate, even if fans approach me at the airport or in the city, I will feel the possibility that something might happen, and it will scare me, making me unable to respond.”

Recently Asuka followed up with another update stating that WWE and TKO are trying to protect her when she tweeted, “WWE and TKO are taking action to protect me. I appreciate it.”

At this point it’s not clear exactly what is going on with this situation, but it appears that WWE and TKO are making an effort to keep Asuka safe, so hopefully this leads to a positive outcome for The Empress of Tomorrow.
Asuka has been out of action since May of 2024 due to a knee injury. There’s no word on when Asuka could be back on TV, although it was recently reported by Fightful Select that ideas have been pitched for her return.
