WWE Studios and Netflix are teaming up for a new movie called “The Main Event” and it’s set to feature some familiar names.
“The Main Event” is set to begin filming this week in Vancouver, and the movie stars Seth Carr, Tichina Arnold, Ken Marino and Adam Pally. It’s also been confirmed that several WWE stars such as Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Sheamus and more will be making appearances in the film.
The movie is set to focus on an 11 year old kid who finds a magical mask and then enters a competition in hopes of becoming a WWE Superstar.
“The Main Event” will be directed by Jay Karas, with a script by Larry Postel. Richard Lowell of WWE Studios is working as the producer of the film, with Susan Levison and Maggie Malina are executive producers.
The film is expected to be released on Netflix in 2020.
