Last week Finn Balor lost the NXT Championship to Samoa Joe at a live event in Lowell, MA. Ever since Finn Balor dropped the title fans have been speculating that he could be main roster bound, but the fans aren’t the only ones hoping to see him join the main roster. Wrestlers such as Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Bayley have also been talking about Finn Balor’s future on social media.
Balor of course has been toying with all of our emotions over the past week. After he dropped the title last Thursday he told fans outside the NXT live event that he would see them all on Monday. A few days later he got on the mic after a triple threat match with Samoa Joe and Austin Aries and said that he’s staying in NXT.
WWE’s Cathy Kelley acknowledges all of the Finn Balor/main roster talk in one of WWE’s latest videos where she runs down the chatter on social media and more. You can check it out in the clip below.
For months now Balor has been teasing a reunion with his Bullet Club buddies Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Now that Gallows and Anderson have arrived it seems like it’s only a matter of time before Finn Balor forms an alliance with his friends on the main roster.
Even if Finn Balor does make his main roster debut in the near future, it doesn’t look like he’s done with Samoa Joe just yet. Balor is still entitled to a rematch for his NXT Championship, and it’s rumored that the two will be facing off in some sort of gimmick match at the next Takeover event on June 8.
As we noted above, Finn Balor lost his NXT Championship to Samoa Joe in Lowell, MA last week and WWE has released some highlights from the match which you can check out below.
