WWE Abandons Trademark Filed For Edge

Edge has had one hell of a career inside the squared circle, and he accomplished the impossible earlier this year when he returned from a career ending injury at the Royal Rumble.

Edge went on to defeat Randy Orton at WrestleMania 36 in a Last Man Standing match, and now he’s set to face Orton in a traditional wrestling match at Backlash last month.

For years now Edge has been known as the Rated R Superstar, but Wrestling Inc. is reporting that WWE has abandoned the Rated R Superstar trademark for Edge.

Originally the trademark was filed for the following use description:

“IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler; providing wrestling news via a global computer network”

WWE originally filed the trademark on September 17, 2012 and it was previously abandoned on January 20, 2014.
