WWE 2K17 Has An Awesome Commentary Botch

When it comes to wrestling games the “WWE 2K” series is king. Each year the company releases a new game that’s basically just the same exact game, only slightly different. Last year “WWE 2K17” hit shelves and the company made a big promotional push for the game due to Goldberg’s inclusion. As a matter of fact, they were so adamant about pushing the game that they even brought Goldberg back and let him squash Brock Lesnar.

WWE games provide fans with hours of fun with as they allow us to reenact some of our favorite wrestling moments from the safety of our own homes. As noted, all of the WWE games are pretty similar and one thing that’s stayed consistent throughout the series is that each and every title contains a few botches here and there. With that being said, “WWE 2K17” is no exception.

The latest WWE game contains a huge botch in the commentary department and it looks like someone either forgot to edit it out, or they just decided to leave it in to make Jerry Lawler look bad. Either way, a fan recently shared a video of the botch on Twitter and it’s hilarious.

The video shows a match between The Godfather and Papa Shango and at one point Jerry Lawler makes a reference to The Godfather winning the Tag Team Titles during his time with Right To Censor.

Jerry Lawler pauses while delivering the line and then says, “oh yeah, you’re right.” He then prepares to deliver the line once again before asking the audio engineer if they’re ready.

To be fair, this sort of thing probably happens quite a bit during the recording process, but it’s also something that should have been left on the cutting room floor. Oh well, one person’s mistake is another person’s laugh for the day, so check it out below and enjoy.

Surely, we can’t hold this one against Lawler.
