WrestleMania 34 airs Sunday night on the WWE Network, and the show is loaded with big matches. There are also some segments which are expected to happen that haven’t been officially announced, including John Cena’s match with The Undertaker, and it’s been rumored that The Rock could also be making an appearance.
However, Justin Burrasso of Sports Illustrated is reporting that plans for The Rock have been scrapped, and he is not currently set to be a part of the show.
According to the report, original plans for The Rock would have seen him participate in a musical segment which also would have included Elias and Jeff Jarrett.
But it’s being reported that WWE officials weren’t able to get a solid confirmation from The Rock, so unless discussions have been renewed recently, he’s not expected to be a part of the show on Sunday.
As always, anything can happen in the professional wrestling business, as some seem to believe there’s a good chance of Rock making an appearance at the event.
Of course The Great One is pretty busy nowadays with his movie career and his latest film “Rampage” is set to be released next week.
Rock had a solid run of WrestleMania appearances from WrestleMania 27 through WrestleMania 32, but he was not part of the show last year for WrestleMania 33.
