The Royal Rumble is a little over a week away and anticipation is at an all time high as the Royal Rumble will set the stage for the road to WrestleMania. There’s been a lot of speculation regarding what the WrestleMania card will look like this year and it seems that a big name could be returning for the Show of Shows.
WrestleVotes on Fightful Select is reporting that AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch is considered to be one of the more “locked in” matches for the WrestleMania 42 card. A number of changes have occurred when it comes to WrestleMania, but the AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch match has reportedly been planned for some time.
AJ Lee made her first appearance on WWE programming in over ten years when she returned on the September 5th episode of SmackDown last year. She went on to team up with CM Punk to defeat Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch at WrestlePalooza, then later went on to join Team Rhea for the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.
The former WWE Divas Champion has not appeared on WWE programming since the Survivor Series premium live event, but if she is indeed working WrestleMania it’s likely that we’ll be seeing her sooner than later.
