WrestleMania is WWE’s biggest annual event and this year the show aired live from Las Vegas. Back in February, The Rock announced that WrestleMania 42 would take place from New Orleans, but it looks like plans have changed.
Wrestlenomics is reporting that a statement provided by the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation has confirmed that WrestleMania 42 will no longer be taking place from New Orleans next year. The statement reads as follows:
“The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long-standing partnership, which will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money In The Bank in 2026, and WrestleMania – which will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year.”
The report notes that Money in the Bank will emanate from New Orleans in 2026, and it was noted that the statement is a joint statement from the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and WWE.
The reason for the change in location for WrestleMania 42 is unknown at this point in time. As of this writing WWE has not announced the new location for the Show of Shows next year.
Stay tuned for updates.
