The coronavirus is causing public gatherings all over the world to be canceled, and Tampa officials met today to discuss upcoming events in the area.
During the meeting city officials noted that since WrestleMania 36 is still a few weeks away they don’t want to pull the plug on the event just yet
Sheriff Chad Chronister noted WWE is taking the situation “under advisement and consideration” and asked if the panel will need to reconvene if WWE does not cancel WrestleMania 36. The Commissioner noted that they will give it a week because WrestleMania is still over three weeks away.
However, it was noted that if WWE doesn’t cancel or postpone the event in the coming weeks then the panel will reconvene and discuss what needs to be done.
So as of this writing WrestleMania 36 is still moving forward.
