WrestleMania 34 Main Event Could Be Brock Lesnar’s Final Match

WrestleMania is coming up fast but that’s no new things because WWE has been hanging the Mania sign from the ceiling for a couple months now. But regardless of what might transpire on the way to New Orleans, the Superdome is booked for April 8th and the show is taking place regardless of if we’re ready for it.

Dave Meltzer discussed the current storyline which seems to be building for Ronda Rousey on the Road To WrestleMania during Wrestling Observer Radio. It appears she will tag with Kurt Angle to take on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. This kind of match will work fine for Trips and Angle because they won’t have to tear their bodies up in a 40-minute epic encounter. They could always try, but as Meltzer pointed out a gimmick match like this doesn’t need to be that long.

The story for the encounter will obviously build toward Ronda Rousey getting her hands on Stephanie McMahon so they could build up to that moment with some male wrestling until those tags are made in the match to the women. But Stephanie is also very likely to do whatever she can so Rowdy Ronda won’t lay a hand on her too easily.

But the real question about this encounter is where do you place it on the card for Mania? It is likely on the show to be a Sportscenter highlight rather than a spectacular display of pro wrestling prowess so it could fit nicely before the main event. But although Meltzer has doubts WWE would book it that way, you never know when you’re talking about Vince McMahon and Company.

“As a gimmick match, and not the last match of the show and I know it could be the last match of the show but I don’t — I don’t wanna say ‘I don’t think’ anything now because number one, if you don’t have Brock or even if they have Brock it’s very likely if they have Brock that it’s Brock’s last match but then again they’ve been building for years the coronation of Roman Reigns so if they’re gonna go with the original plan which was Roman kicks out of the F5 and wins they probably would want that on last.”

“But then again, you know the whole gimmick of women in the main event,” Meltzer concluded as host Bryan Alvarez pointed out they just headlined Royal Rumble. “Yeah I know,” Meltzer replied. “But the big one is WrestleMania. I mean the big story is women in the main event at WrestleMania, will it ever happen?”

So you never know what can happen at WrestleMania because apparently, WWE might not know at this point either. We’ll just have to stay tuned and see what comes at us next as the Road To WrestleMania continues.
