Last week Stephanie McMahon made a huge announcement on Raw when she revealed that this year’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view will feature the first ever women’s Elimination Chamber match.
Alexa Bliss will put her title on the line in the chamber, and this week Kurt Angle announced that Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Bayley, Mickie James and Sasha Banks will be challenging for the title.
But that’s not the only big announcement Kurt Angle made this week.
Kurt also announced that Nia Jax won’t be in the match, because she’ll be facing Asuka in a singles match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
Angle also announced that regardless of who wins, Asuka will be facing the champion at WrestleMania since she won the Royal Rumble, but if Nia Jax beats Asuka, the title match at WrestleMania will become a triple threat match.
Alexa Bliss then made her way to the ring and criticized Kurt Angle for not having Brock Lesnar defend his title inside the chamber.
Angle then addressed the fact that Alexa hasn’t defended her title since the TLC pay-per-view.
He then asked the fans if they want to see Alexa defend the belt inside the chamber, and they responded with a loud “yes” chant.
