Alexa Bliss overcame the odds last weekend when she walked out of No Mercy with her Raw Women’s Championship following a fatal five-way match with some of the biggest stars on the Raw roster. It seems that her comments concerning WWE veteran Mickie James following the match though, are the reason that the former six-time Women’s Champion will now challenge Bliss for her Championship at TLC.
Bliss has attempted to humiliate Mickie over the past few weeks by making light of the fact that she is much older than the other women on the Raw roster, but that didn’t stop Mickie from almost defeating Nia Jax on Raw last night before the Women’s Champion was forced to intervene.
Alexa brought Mickie James back earlier this year when she needed help in her rivalry against Becky Lynch over on SmackDown Live, so that is a rivalry that has been slowly building for a while.
Even though the match has been rumored to be taking place ever since No Mercy, it was only officially announced by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle on last night’s episode of Raw.
This is the first match to be officially announced for the TLC event on October 22nd that takes place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the same event that will see the Undefeated Empress Asuka make her main roster debut.
