William Regal Advocated For Sasha Banks Before She Became “The Boss” In NXT

Few people can deny how successful Sasha Banks has been for WWE over the past couple of years, but what is even more impressive is how much more she’s expected to accomplish in her career. However, if it wasn’t for William Regal, none of her success could have happened.

Recently, William Regal did an interview with Metro.co.uk and revealed he was advocating for Sasha Banks before she was even “The Boss.” You can read the full interview with the GM of NXT right here. Below is Regal discussing what some WWE officials used to think of The Boss.

“I don’t really like singling anyone out, but Sasha Banks. I’ve known her since she was 18, and the previous people that were doing what I’m doing now wouldn’t even give her the time of day.”

“When I was asked by Triple H to be part of that team, of which there is nobody still here who was in the team at the time, I kept asking to bring her in, to which people replied ‘oh no, there is nothing in her, she’s useless.’”

“Sasha was the first person I went to bat for, and her development is a great thing to see”
