The world is full of amazing pro wrestlers and WWE doesn’t have all of them although there are a few more who might be more than welcome to come aboard. Ricochet recently signed a WWE contract and his potential is amazing. Now that WWE finally has Ricochet another likley signing could be his famous opponent Will Ospreay.
Ospreay has been able to avoid WWE for the time being as he found a home in ROH and soon went exclusively to New Japan Pro Wrestling where he is featured as a star. But as Ospreay said although the dream was always there he doesn’t know if he could work a WWE schedule.
“As a kid, you would always want your WrestleMania,” Ospreay said on Talk Is Jericho. “You always want to be like [Chris Jericho] or John Cena or any of those guys because they’re the larger than life characters and they’re the guys you grew up watching. It’s always been in the back of my mind but as I’ve come to [Japan] and I’ve grown up more I don’t do very well, I don’t like traveling as it is and those guys are wrestling on Christmas Day and New Years and that would have killed me. Christmas to me is family and I love being with my family and that would have just murdered me. I don’t think I could do it, I really don’t.”
Then Will Ospreay admitted he actually had to recently bat away an offer from WWE not too long ago.
“I had a phone call the other day actually asking like questioning contracts and stuff like that and I was just like, ‘I appreciate it but I’m quite happy here like I love being a part of this.'”
Will Ospreay considers New Japan his home and it doesn’t sound like that will be changing anytime soon. But at least he’s still featured in a big way as a part of New Japan’s evolution as they continue to spread their influence over the pro wrestling world and become a major player in the process.
