The Beast Incarnate has been running roughshod over the WWE roster since his return to Vince’s Hierarchy Of Headlocks in 2012. He ended The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak and effectively killed this writer’s childhood. He destroyed John Cena in dominate fashion scarring millions of childhoods all around the world. He also had a nice little program with Goldberg that ended the way it should without doing much damage in the process (unless we’re talking about Goldberg’s head meeting a door).
But Brock Lesnar’s current WWE contract is set to expire after WrestleMania in New Orleans and some people are wondering if The Beast will resign with WWE. There are certainly going to be a lot of contract negotiations but some are under the assumption that Brock Lesnar might not need to extend his run with WWE.
Although he has already made a ton of money and might be set for life, Dave Meltzer recently noted on an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Brock Lesnar will probably sign another deal with WWE when the time comes around.
The fact is Brock Lesnar’s contract is a big one and he’s making huge money for part-time involvement. He doesn’t have to make towns for house shows unless it’s a big one at Madison Square Garden or the United Center. Brock only has to show up when he wants to and his work has remained pretty much the same. He’s a beast and he carries through with his promises in the ring.
Brock Lesnar’s program with Samoa Joe is one of the more exciting match ups WWE has been able to pull off in recent memory and it looks like Brock is having fun. Meltzer said Brock Lesnar probably loves his job because he gets to make big money on a part-time schedule. He might have the best pay to work ratio deal in WWE and Lesnar will probably want to continue that.
In addition, WWE doesn’t like losing top stars so they’ll most likely see that as an upside to keeping Brock Lesnar around.
