Why WWE Turned Dean Ambrose Face On Raw

Back in October, Dean Ambrose turned heel, and it looked like he was set for a huge run. But Ambrose’s heel turn didn’t exactly go as planned, and it was recently confirmed that he’s leaving WWE in April.

This week on Raw, Dean Ambrose showed support for his longtime rival Seth Rollins when he confronted Seth and told him to “slay the beast.”

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that usually when word gets out that a Superstar is leaving, the fans turn on that star for deserting the company. But when WWE decided to get ahead of the story and confirm Ambrose’s departure, he started getting cheered, so WWE turned him.

In regards to what Dean said to Seth Rollins, it’s also being reported that WWE had something scripted for Ambrose, but he wasn’t feeling it, so he did something else.

Do you think turning Dean Ambrose face on his way out is the right move? Sound off in the comments below.
