Some big moves have been made over the last few weeks as Sami Zayn was moved to the SmackDown brand while LA Knight has officially joined the Monday Night Raw roster.
Fightful Select reports that the idea is Sami Zayn and LA Knight have effectively been traded for one another as a way to freshen up the babyface side of things on Raw and SmackDown. It was also noted that it’s possible it will be acknowledged as such on commentary.
Sami Zayn officially confirmed during last week’s episode of SmackDown that he had joined the blue brand’s roster. Zayn has been feuding with Solo Sikoa recently and he indicated that he will be looking to challenge Solo for the WWE United States Championship.
As for LA Knight, his move to Raw was done quietly as WWE updated his profile this week to show that he is now a Raw star. Knight has been making frequent appearances on Raw over the last few months as he’s been involved a high profile feud with Seth Rollins. Later this month LA Knight will challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship when he faces off against Seth Rollins, CM Punk and Jey Uso in a four way match at the Clash in Paris premium live event.
