Last Saturday night, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar stepped into the octagon, pushed Daniel Cormier and then called Cormier out.
Now all signs seem to be pointing to Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Cormier taking place in UFC at some point, and Brock has reentered the USADA testing pool.
Brock’s UFC appearance got some major media attention, but WWE made no mention of Lesnar this week on Raw.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon is adamant about making it look like Brock Lesnar has walked out on the company. McMahon wants the perception to be that Brock has turned his back on the WWE to join UFC, and he won’t be coming back to defend his Universal Title.
Vince McMahon held a meeting before Raw in Boston, and told everyone to focus on building up Extreme Rules, and not to mention Lesnar’s name because he’s not on the show.
As far as when WWE will start mentioning Lesnar again, Vince reportedly said, “When he’s being offered to our audience and we can capitalize on it.”
