Fans are used to seeing the WWE TLC pay-per-view at the end of the year, and it was previously reported that WWE planned to hold the event in December, but it doesn’t look like the show is happening this year.
Fightful Select is now reporting that WWE will not holding the TLC pay-per-view this year. Original plans called for the show to take place on December 19, then it was moved to December 12, but now the show has been canceled.
WWE sources indicated that the show was nixed due to the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view which is currently scheduled for January 1st. It’s being said that the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view is “being spearheaded” by Nick Khan. The decision to remove the pay-per-view from the schedule was made over a month ago, and WWE’s internal calendars have been updated.
The TLC pay-per-view has been an annual event for WWE since 2009, and has typically aired in December throughout its run. Stay tuned for updates.
