It’s not often that fans see “Stone Cold” Steve Austin on WWE programming, but he recently returned to the red brand for the Raw reunion, and it’s been confirmed that he will be part of the Raw episode from Madison Square Garden on 9/9.
SmackDown Live is set to follow Raw as it will air from Madison Square Garden the next night on 9/10.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Steve Austin was added to Raw because neither Madison Square Garden show has sold out yet.
The belief is that Raw will eventually sell out, which is said to be very important to WWE as they want to keep AEW out of the building.
Ticket sales reportedly picked up after Steve Austin was announced, but there are still a lot of unsold tickets that aren’t in a high price range.
