It looks like fans could be in for another wrestling war on Wednesday nights, as AEW is set to premiere on TNT in October, and for months now rumors of NXT making the jump to cable have been making the rounds.
FS1 was the rumored destination for NXT, but recently it was reported that an idea has been pitched for NXT to become a live two hour show that airs Wednesday nights on the USA Network.
Dave Meltzer talked about the possible jump on Wrestling Observer Radio and he noted that Vince McMahon wants NXT on USA Network over FS1 because he wants a better shot at not losing.
The feeling is that USA would be better than FS1 because fans are used to watching wrestling on USA Network, not FS1, so putting the show on a network fans are familiar with could help in the long run.
