WrestleMania is without a doubt the biggest professional wrestling show of the year, but WWE released a statement yesterday noting that due to the coronavirus WrestleMania will take place from the Performance Center this year.
This year’s WrestleMania will be unlike any other WrestleMania, and many people were shocked to see WWE move the event to the Performance Center as opposed to postponing it.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon could not confidently say when things would go back to normal, or when the company would be able to move forward with WrestleMania due to the restrictions put in place as a reaction to the coronavirus.
It’s not known at this point when WWE will be able to hold their events in front of the public again, so the idea is to just get WrestleMania out of the way.
Stay tuned for more updates on WrestleMania as they become available.
