Why Vince McMahon Gave Up On EC3

A few weeks ago WWE released quite a few talents, and former WWE 24/7 Champion EC3 happened to be one of the names who got cut. EC3 has been quite active on social media as of late, and fans are waiting to see what he does next.

Some fans had high hopes for EC3 when he signed with WWE, but the former Impact World Champion didn’t receive much TV time when he finally made it to the main roster.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vince McMahon gave up on EC3 almost immediately because fans cheered Dean Ambrose during EC3’s in-ring debut on Raw. EC3 beating Dean Ambrose was meant to be punishment for Ambrose.

At this point it’s not clear where he will go next, but the Observer speculated that AEW might not be looking to pick him up, as his biggest strength is his ability to talk, and AEW already has MJF.

Ethan Carter III has a history with Impact Wrestling, and the thought is that a return to the company might be the best fit for him.
