Several titles were on the line at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view, and Samoa Joe defended the US Title against Rey Mysterio, but he didn’t walk out with the belt.
Joe was busted open early in the match, and it appeared that he may have suffered a broken nose during a sit-down senton spot.
The match ended shortly after, and then WWE did a post-match angle where Joe beat down Mysterio.
PWInsider is reporting that WWE made the call to cut the match short due to the blood that appeared when Samoa Joe was busted open.
It was also reported that there’s some concern Rey Mysterio may have suffered a shoulder injury during the post-match beat down.
