Fans saw a number of notable names return to WWE last year and Rusev made his big return on the Raw after WrestleMania. However, Rusev has not been featured on TV in some time, and The Street Profits have also been absent from WWE programming.
PWInsider is reporting that Rusev and The Street Profits not being on television lately is just a decision to make sure talent who aren’t in the mix aren’t being wasted so that they can be fresh when they make their return to TV.
Rusev last appeared on WWE programming when he faced off against Otis on the December 1, 2025 episode of Main Event. Prior to that he had been competing in The Last Time Is Now Tournament, but was eliminated from the tournament by Jey Uso on the November 21, 2025 episode of SmackDown.
The Street Profits are currently part of the SmackDown brand, but they have not appeared on the show since they challenged The Wyatt Sicks for the WWE Tag Team Championship on the October 10, 2025 episode of the show. They last appeared on the October 24, 2025 episode of Main Event when they defeated Los Garza.
