This Saturday the stars of NXT are set to invade Chicago for another Takeover event, but one of the voices of NXT will be absent. Mauro Ranallo recently took to Twitter to inform fans that he will not be part of the announce team at NXT TakeOver: Chicago II on Saturday night because he will be doing work for Showtime Boxing that night. While Mauro is away Vic Joseph will be filling in.
I’m blessed to have more than one job. Unfortunately, dates may conflict. Off to Dallas for a @ShowtimeBoxing tripleheader . That means I won’t be in Chicago for #NXTTakeOver You’ll be in good hands with @VicJosephWWE @McGuinnessNigel & @WWEPercyWatson 👊🙏

As noted, the Mae Young Classic is set to return this year with WWE filming content for the tournament in August.
Tokyo Sports is reporting that they reached out to Meiko Satomura who said that nothing is official regarding her involvement with the tournament, but indicated that an announcement could be made at one of the upcoming WWE live events in Japan.
