There was a lot of speculation about who would win the Cena/Owens rematch at Money in the Bank but ultimately it was John Cena that pulled out the victory. Bryan Alvarez recently mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that Cena’s merchandise sales had dropped and live event ticket sales were down which is why WWE decided to give Cena the win.
He went on to speculate that Owens will drop the belt to Balor at the live event in Tokyo meaning there’s a chance Owens could take the United States Championship from Cena.
