It’s no big secret that John Cena is taking a good chunk of time off after Hell in a Cell. After Hell in a Cell Cena isn’t scheduled to work a WWE event until the end of December. The official statement from WWE said Cena is taking time off for “personal reasons” but it looks there might be more to it than that.
Scott Keith of Sport News and Fighting Spirit Magazine recently updated his blog and he’s claiming that a source has informed him of a project that Cena will be involved with while he’s away. Keith wrote the following regarding John Cena’s absence:
“A friend in the fitness industry is working on a fitness-themed reality show for FOX. The show is set to air in the spring. He and a few others were told this week that the filming window is set for Oct. 26 to the first or second week of January, and that it will take 6-8 weeks to do everything. They also found out that the host of the show is going to be John Cena. I’m guessing this explains his rumored hiatus after HIAC”
Of course as of right now this is an unconfirmed rumor, but it certainly lines up with Cena’s current schedule.
