The debut episode of AEW Dynamite aired on TNT a few weeks ago, and at the end of the show Jake Hager, formerly known as Jack Swagger in WWE, made his debut when joined Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle.
Hager has been working as AEW World Champion Chris Jericho’s muscle for the last few weeks, but he has yet to wrestle an official match in All Elite Wrestling.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jake Hager had an agreement that he wouldn’t wrestle until after his next Bellator fight at Mohegan Sun Casino on 10/25.
Hager is set to face Anthony Garrett, and he noted that with his gimmick as a badass MMA fighter in AEW, he really can’t afford to lose.
The agreement is that he will do TV every week and takes Tuesdays and Wednesdays as his days off from training.
Hager is training the other five days of the week, but won’t be wrestling matches until after the fight so he can avoid risking an injury.
