WWE Bad Blood is set to air live from Atlanta this weekend and the show is loaded with big matches. It had been rumored that Sami Zayn vs. Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship would be part of the card, but instead the match is currently set for Raw on Monday, October 7th.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that when asking why Sami vs. Gunther was taking place on Raw instead of Bad Blood they were told that the premium live event didn’t need the match, so the idea is to use it to boost Raw.
It was also noted that based on ticket sales and demand for tickets on the secondary market they were correct, and WWE doesn’t need the World Heavyweight Championship belt to be added to the Bad Blood card.
WWE Bad Blood will air live on Saturday, October 5th and the current card can be seen below.
