Why Charlotte Flair Defeated Rhea Ripley At WWE WrestleMania 36

WrestleMania 36 was a historic event for several reasons, and on Sunday night the NXT Women’s Championship was defended at the Show of Shows for the first time ever.

Rhea Ripley defended her belt against Charlotte Flair, and when it was all said and done Flair walked out with the gold.

The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE officials believe Charlotte Flair is a babyface, which is why she went over at Mania.

It’s also being reported that the current plan is for Charlotte Flair to work both Raw and NXT.

Flair recently noted that she hopes to defend her NXT Women’s Championship across all three brands.
