Why Braun Strowman Still Doesn’t Have A WrestleMania Match

WrestleMania 34 is coming up on us fast but so are rumors of a new video from Jon Bravo. The filmmaker has kept interested parties updated through his Instagram account and recently revealed a new video is on the way which will list all 15 WWE Superstars who were customers of accused and convicted steroid dealer Richard Rodriguez. Roman Reigns’ name is expected to be on that list and WWE might be nervous about the fact they could be forced to suspend The Big Dog for 60 days due to a second violation of their Wellness Policy.

Therefore, Braun Strowman is being held off on in regards to his WrestleMania booking as a Plan B of sorts for WWE. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed his match against The Miz for the Intercontinental Title is off as Seth Rollins and Finn Balor seem to be the A-Lister’s Mania opponents. But the question still remains concerning what they’ll do with The Monster Among Men.

“The Braun Strowman thing that we speculated on Monday that is the case,” Dave Meltzer confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio. “The reason they took Braun Strowman out of The Miz match is because they felt it was very important to have a backup for more Roman Reigns than Brock.”

“The thing is they’re shuffling things because they don’t want to have to shuffle around the whole card so what they’re gonna do is create a new card. So instead of Miz and then having to pull that and then start from scratch they’re going with Miz, Finn Balor, and Seth Rollins in a three-way and Strowman, I guess he could work with Elias. I guess if Samoa Joe’s ready he could work with Samoa Joe. If they decree I guess they could make that Brock Lesnar/Roman Reigns a three-way. I mean they could do that as well and perhaps they should.”

“I mean Strowman is the most over guy. I mean my god, it’s so weird to me watching the way that [Elimination Chamber] match was booked on Sunday because when that match was over you know the idea of the idea of the match should be, ‘man I wanna see Roman Reigns go against Brock Lesnar that’s the main event at WrestleMania and that is the match I wanna see.’ And when [Elimination Chamber] was over I don’t think there was a person alive who had that reaction.”
