Why Authors Of Pain And SAnitY Were Called Up To The Main Roster

After WrestleMania fans expect to see some new and interesting names debut on the main roster, and that’s exactly what happened this year.

The Authors of Pain made a big impression when they destroyed their opponents on Raw and later ditched their manager Paul Ellering. But the Authors of Pain haven’t done much since then.

Furthermore, it was announced during the Superstar Shake-Up that SAnitY would be joining the SmackDown Live brand, and even though they recently made their main roster debut during a live event, they still haven’t debuted on TV.

Bryan Alvarez recently noted on Wrestling Observer Live (via CageSideSeats) that part of the reason why Authors of Pain and SAnitY were called up was to help fill out spots in a tag team Money in the Bank ladder match.

Money in the Bank is set to take place on Sunday, but WWE never announced plans for a tag team ladder match, so obviously that idea never came to fruition.

Unfortunately the scrapped plans seem to have left both teams in limbo in terms of creative plans.

John Pollock also reported via Wrestling Observer Newsletter is also reporting that one of the reasons the AOP haven’t been around is because one of them is dealing with a visa issue, but the issue has been cleared up.

Authors of Pain can return at any time, but right now the focus is on The B Team and McIntyre & Ziggler.

WWE officials don’t want AOP to be just another team and are waiting for the right time when they can get them over.

What do you think WWE should do with the Authors of Pain and SANitY? Sound off in the comments below.
