Anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling, which is what makes it fun. You never know who might show up when you attend a professional wrestling event, and the stars of All Elite Wrestling have been invading independent shows recently.
All Elite Wrestling held their big press conference in Jacksonville earlier this month, but the company’s Double Or Nothing event won’t be taking place until May.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the AEW stars are doing surprise appearances at indie events as a way to build interest in the company on social media, and keep the talents in the news while they’re not wrestling.
The Young Bucks, Cody, Brandi and Adam Page recently appeared at the Bar Wrestling show in Los Angeles on January 16, and The Young Bucks worked the Defy show in Seattle on January 19.
The Bucks told the promotion not to say a word about their appearance, then flew up on their own and did a quick tease to get the word out.
With several months to go before Double Or Nothing, it seems that fans should expect to see AEW stars pop up at more independent events in the future.
