It’s a strange time for the professional wrestling business, as many events have been canceled, and both WWE and AEW have been broadcasting their TV shows from closed events.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite took place from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, and the audience was made of up just a few wrestlers from the AEW roster.
Over the course of the broadcast AEW advertised future matches for the “next Dynamite” as opposed to “next week.”
PWInsider is reporting that Dynamite is scheduled to continue airing on TNT, and the company won’t be going on hiatus.
However, Tony Khan is taking the stance that no one should be taking anything for granted, and they don’t want to come across as if anything is guaranteed, which is why the decision was made to list everything for the “next Dynamite.”
The crew wanted to get through this week’s episode and “not be so arrogant as to assume” that they’ll be able to air next week’s episode live due to changes that could be made because of the coronavirus.
It was also noted that if AEW can broadcast next week then everything that was announced on Wednesday will air on next week’s show.
