Earlier this month Adam Copeland teamed up with Christian Cage to take on the team of FTR at the AEW All Out pay-per-view. Unfortunately for Cope & Christian it was FTR that picked up the win, and after the match FTR attacked Copeland’s wife Beth Phoenix.
On the following episode of AEW Dynamite, Copeland told Christian that he has to go away to take care of his family, and he doesn’t know if he’ll be back. PWInsider reported that Copeland is taking time off to film the new season of Percy Jackson, and it looks like the WWE Hall of Famer landed another notable role as well.
Variety is now reporting that Adam Copeland has been cast in The Beekeeper 2. Copeland will appear in the movie alongside Pom Klementieff, and the film’s star Jason Statham. Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi and Jemma Redgrave are also set to reprise their roles in the film.Amazon MGM Studios will distribute the film which is set to be produced and financed by Miramax.
Plot details regarding Klementieff and Copeland’s characters are unknown at the moment, but the film is now in production. Timo Tjahjanto is set to direct the sequel, and the script was written by Kurt Wimmer who also wrote the script for the first movie.
