WWE’s “Beast in the East” special was a pretty nice treat for the fans. They got the to see how the WWE style translates to a Japanese audience and it had a pretty cool vibe throughout the show. So who was in charge of booking the event?
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports the People Power was in full effect during “Beast in the East” as John Laurinaitis was in charge of the show. It was reportedly John’s idea to use streamers and have the competitors be presented with flower bouquets before the NXT Championship match.
The event was seen as a big success and WWE is looking to run more WWE Network exclusive specials in the future. The next live WWE Network special as of right now will be “NXT Takeover: Brooklyn” which will air on August 22nd.
