James Storm working with NXT is the big story at the moment. Storm worked last week’s NXT tapings and filmed a match which is set to air Wednesday on the WWE Network. So who was it that helped James Storm get his foot in the door with WWE?
PWInsider is reporting that Billy Gunn is the one responsible for bringing James Storm into NXT. Storm and Gunn are apparently good friends outside of the industry and Gunn helped open up a line of communication between James Storm and WWE officials.
As noted, TNA recently contacted Storm as they’re hoping to have him work their upcoming tour of India. However it looks unlikely that Storm will return to TNA anytime soon. Although it’s been reported that Storm has yet to officially sign a deal with the company, Storm has been representing WWE and NXT quite a bit on social media over the past few days.
