When WWE Will Be Returning To Saudi Arabia

Earlier this year WWE brought the Greatest Royal Rumble to Saudi Arabia, and even though the event was somewhat controversial, it didn’t create nearly the same amount of controversy that Crown Jewel did back in November.

Following the death of Jamal Khashoggi, there was a lot of pressure on WWE to cancel Crown Jewel, or move the event to a different location, but ultimately the company decided to keep the show in Saudi Arabia.

WWE signed a 10 year contract with Saudi Arabia, so anyone who is hoping to see the company end that business relationship is likely to be disappointed.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that as of right now WWE has dates booked in Saudi Arabia for May and November.

The company will likely wait as long as they possibly can to announce the events in an attempt to try and avoid heat.

On a related note, bonuses for Crown Jewel recently came in and it’s being said that some are happy with the bonuses, while others are not.

Last time around WWE convinced Shawn Michaels to come out of retirement for Crown Jewel, so it should be interesting to see what big match they try to book for the main event when the company returns to Saudi Arabia.
