It’s been a long road for Bayley to get to where she is, and now that she’s at the upper echelon of the Raw women’s division she doesn’t want to give up her spot. Since the Hugger of Huggers picked up the Raw Women’s Championship she’s been given Charlotte’s pay-per-view streak, a sweet new Snickers commercial, and she’s been afforded ample time on WWE television to boot.
There’s a lot on Bayley’s plate going into the Grandaddy Of Them All on April 2nd. Especially with Nia Jax’s confirmed involvement in the Raw Women’s Title match, The Hugger has a whole lot to contend with. If you factor in Sasha Banks’ impending heel turn, then Bayley might have a recipe for disaster at WrestleMania 33.
However, CageSideSeats reports the word is that there aren’t any plans for Bayley to drop her title anytime soon. This would stand to reason because the initial plan was for Bayley to pick up the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania in Orlando so she could go into Payback and defend the title in her hometown of San Jose, California.
They’ve been saying for a while that Bayley might be in line to be the “female John Cena.” Whatever that means, one things is for sure that if she were to pick up a win at Mania this year with all of the odds stacked against her she’s certainly on her way to earning that moniker.
So, whether you’re on board with Bayley or not, it looks like you better get used to The Hugger. There are currently no plans on the table which would see her losing that top spot on the Raw brand.
