There’s certainly no shortage of WWE content to consume nowadays. The company produces several hours of content each and every week and a few months ago a third hour was added to Friday Night SmackDown.

While fans have gotten used to the third hour it has been well known from the beginning that the extra hour was only going to be a temporary addition to SmackDown.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that there’s been some talk of SmackDown returning to the 2 hour format on June 6. However, it’s being said that date isn’t set in stone. It was originally expected that SmackDown would go back to 2 hours at the end of May. An official date for the change is expected to be finalized by next week.

This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to air live from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA. Names being advertised for the show include Randy Orton, Tiffany Stratton, LA Knight, Bianca Belair, Jacob Fatu and more.

Ahead of the show it’s been confirmed that Aleister Black will be competing in his first match since returning to WWE when he faces off against The Miz.

Stay tuned for updates.
