Earlier this week it was announced that Shane McMahon had been hospitalized due to diverticulitis, which put Shane’s status for the Show of Shows in doubt.
However, Daniel Bryan appeared on SmackDown Live this week, and he announced that he will be returning to the ring to take on Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in a tag team match at WrestleMania, and he indicated that Shane McMahon will be his partner.
Bryan said that he had good reason to believe that Shane will be ready in time for WrestleMania, and it looks like we could be seeing Shane sooner than we thought.
CageSideSeats notes that it’s rumored Shane McMahon could be returning as early as next week’s episode of SmackDown Live. Even though some some are inclined to think that Shane’s health issues are part of the storyline, every indication seems to point to them being legitimate.
When Shane’s health issues were first revealed it was reported that he had been flown to a hospital in New York City, and he later posted a photo of himself standing with his sons while hooked up to an IV.
Tom Phillips later provided an update on SmackDown Live saying that Shane had been discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.
