For decades Randy Orton has been one of the top names in WWE and it’s safe to say that he’s had a Hall of Fame worthy career. The Viper has had his ups and downs as fans saw in recent years when he was sidelined for 18 months due to a back injury. Luckily Orton was able to return at Survivor Series in 2023, and it looks like he’ll likely be around for years to come.
Fightful Select is reporting that Randy Orton signed a five year extension with WWE that will keep him with the company until 2029. The belief is that Randy Orton is not going to be retiring anytime soon. Currently Randy Orton is 45 years old and he confirmed during an interview earlier this year that he’s hoping to wrestle until he’s at least 50 years old.
Randy Orton last stepped into the ring during the October 3rd episode of SmackDown when he teamed with Cody Rhodes to face the team of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
While Randy Orton has been one of the top stars in the company for some time, throughout the year there’s been some criticism among fans regarding how he’s been booked as of late. Recently Orton’s wife made it clear that she agrees with the criticism.
Currently there’s no word on what WWE has planned for Orton moving forward, but the company has seemingly been teasing a potential feud with Cody Rhodes for months now.
